PLC-5 Series fused field wiring swing arm
The Allen-Bradley 1771-WHF is a fused field wiring arm designed for use with 1771 I/O modules in the PLC-5 platform. It features 21 tin contact-plated terminals and provides connections for 16 I/O points, making general plant wiring to 1771 I/O modules easy through flexible interconnections.
What sets the 1771-WHF apart from the standard 1771-WH wiring arm is its built-in fuse protection. The 1771-WHF provides optimum fuse protection without requiring removal of a module from the chassis, ensuring maximum connection integrity is maintained during fuse servicing. It is designed for applications that require individual circuit protection, making it the preferred choice over unfused wiring arms in installations where output circuit fusing is necessary.
The wiring arm is constructed from thermoplastic material with a conformal coating for added environmental protection, and has a maximum fuse current rating of 3 Amps. No external power source is required for operation. If the application requires a single power source for all circuits, a supplied jumper can be installed to connect the four power terminals together.
During installation, sufficient slack should be left in the wiring at the bottom of the field wiring arm to allow the arm to pivot adequately on the horizontal bar, enabling module removal without disconnecting field wiring. The 1771-WHF measures 4.5 x 12.4 x 6.3 inches and weighs 0.3 lb (0.1 kg).
Compatible modules include the 1771-OBD and other standard 1771 I/O modules installed in 1771-A1B through 1771-A4B I/O chassis.
