The Allen-Bradley 1492-CABLE025M is a specialized pre-wired I/O cable assembly designed specifically for the MicroLogix 1500 (1764) platform. It provides a robust, standardized connection between MicroLogix base units or expansion modules and 1492 digital Interface Modules (IFMs). This pre-terminated solution eliminates the need for manual, time-consuming point-to-point wiring, significantly reducing installation labor and the potential for cross-wiring errors.

This Series A cable features a pre-wired 1764-RTP Removable Terminal Block (RTB) on the controller end. It is engineered for a perfect fit into MicroLogix 1500 base units or high-density expansion I/O. The field end is equipped with a high-density 25-pin D-shell connector, designed to interface directly with 1492 wiring boards to streamline signal distribution to field-mounted devices like pushbuttons, sensors, and relays.

Constructed with 22 AWG multi-conductor shielded cable, the 1492-CABLE025M is built for high signal integrity and EMI protection in industrial environments. The 2.5-meter (8.2 feet) length offers flexibility for routing through wire ducts and around other components within a control cabinet. Both ends of the cable include molded strain relief to protect the terminations from vibration and mechanical fatigue.
