Pre-Wired cable for digital I/O modules, IFM-Ready, 20 Conductors, #22 AWG, with IFM 20-Pin Connector, 1.0 meter (3.28 ft)
The Allen-Bradley 1492-CABLE010P is a Bulletin 1492 IFM-ready digital cable featuring 20 conductors of #22 AWG wire with a pre-installed 20-pin IFM connector on one end, measuring 1.0 meter (3.28 ft) in length.
The key distinction of the Type P cable within the 1492-CABLE series is its IFM-ready configuration. Unlike I/O module-ready cables which are pre-terminated at the module end, IFM-ready cables are pre-terminated at the Interface Module (IFM) end — presenting individually color-coded conductors on the other end for field termination directly at the programmable controller I/O module or a custom terminal arrangement. This makes the Type P cable the ideal companion when the IFM is the fixed point in the wiring system and the I/O module end requires custom or flexible termination.
As part of the Bulletin 1492 wiring system, the 1492-CABLE010P connects to DIN rail-mounted interface modules, replacing point-to-point wiring between Allen-Bradley programmable controller I/O modules and individual terminal blocks. Pre-printed adhesive label cards containing field wiring information are included for each interface module and I/O module combination.
All Bulletin 1492 cables are 100% tested for continuity, ensuring a perfect connection every time. Standard cable lengths in the series are 1.0 m (010), 2.5 m (025), and 5.0 m (050), with build-to-order lengths also available. The 1492-CABLE010P is compatible with Bulletin 1746 SLC 500, 1756 ControlLogix, 1769 CompactLogix, and 1771 PLC-5 digital I/O platforms.
