It features a 16-point 1746-RT25 removable terminal block connector on the module end, providing a clean, organized wiring interface between the I/O module and field devices without the need for custom wiring at the module terminals.

The "010" in the catalog number designates a cable length of 1.0 meter (3.28 ft). The cable terminates on one end with the pre-installed I/O module connector and presents individually color-coded conductors on the field end, simplifying identification and termination at a remote terminal block, interface module (IFM), or custom wiring enclosure.

The 1492 wiring system provides a convenient alternative to direct field wiring at the module's RTB, allowing I/O field wiring to be terminated at a DIN rail-mountable interface module (IFM) located in a convenient panel location. This approach streamlines module replacement — the cable can be quickly disconnected and reconnected without disturbing any field wiring, significantly reducing downtime during maintenance.

All Bulletin 1492 cables are available in build-to-order lengths. Standard lengths are 1.0 m (010), 2.5 m (025), and 5.0 m (050). The 1492-CABLE010A is compatible with 16-point 1746 SLC 500 digital I/O modules and is intended for use as part of the complete Bulletin 1492 In-Panel I/O Wiring System.
