Contactor Unit (CTU) 3 Pole 1 N.O. Coil: 24Vac 60Hz, 30Amp. 730Kva Series B Listed: UL/CSA
The Allen-Bradley 100-A30NJ3 is a 3-pole, 30 Amp IEC contactor from the Bulletin 100-A series, designed for general-purpose motor control and load switching in industrial automation applications. The "J" coil designation indicates a 24VAC/60Hz operating coil, distinguishing it from the 100-A30ND3 variant which uses a 120V AC coil — making the NJ3 the preferred choice for control systems operating on 24VAC control power.
The catalog number structure follows the Bulletin 100-A convention: the "N" designates normally open main contacts, the coil voltage code is embedded in the suffix, and the final digit "3" indicates a 3-pole configuration. The 100-A30 frame includes wire terminal lugs as standard on the power terminals.
Like all Bulletin 100-A 30A contactors, the 100-A30NJ3 is rated for up to 600VAC with an insulation voltage (Ui) of 690V and a thermal current (Ith) of 22A AC-1, making it suitable for both motor starting (AC-3) and resistive load switching (AC-1) duty. It is rated at 20 HP and supports both non-reversing and reversing contactor configurations, with DIN rail mounting as standard. The contactor is compatible with direct-mount 193-series and 592-series overload relays to form a complete IEC motor starter, and accepts add-on auxiliary contact blocks for expanded control circuit functionality.
Built to IEC 947 / BS 5424 / VDE 0660 standards, the Bulletin 100-A series offers proven reliability in demanding industrial motor control environments.
