The Allen-Bradley 100-A30NJ3 is a 3-pole, 30 Amp IEC contactor from the Bulletin 100-A series, designed for general-purpose motor control and load switching in industrial automation applications. The "J" coil designation indicates a 24VAC/60Hz operating coil, distinguishing it from the 100-A30ND3 variant which uses a 120V AC coil — making the NJ3 the preferred choice for control systems operating on 24VAC control power.

The catalog number structure follows the Bulletin 100-A convention: the "N" designates normally open main contacts, the coil voltage code is embedded in the suffix, and the final digit "3" indicates a 3-pole configuration.
