The 1747-L553 Series A is an Allen-Bradley SLC-500 family processor module, part of the 1747 processor range. It is an SLC-5/05 processor providing 64K words of user memory, supporting up to 4096 I/O points and suited to large discrete and process control applications. It includes a built-in EtherNet/IP communication port for programming, peer-to-peer messaging, and SCADA connectivity, as well as a built-in RS-232 channel for serial communication. It slots into slot 0 of the 1746 chassis and is programmed through RSLogix 500.
